Grated Raw Papaya

Ingredients

  • 400 grams raw papaya
  • 1 lime
  • 2 table spoons oil
  • ½ tea spoon mustard seeds
  • 3 to 4 green chillies (cut lengthwise)
  • A pinch asafetida
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Peel and grate raw papaya. Apply salt and keep aside for a few minutes. Press lightly to remove the excess water from it. Add additional salt (if required) and lime juice.
  • Heat a little oil. Add mustard seeds, asafetida and green chillies. Add the seasoning to the papaya. Mix well.
