Vegetable Lolipop

Ingredients

  • 250 grams boiled potatoes
  • 250 grams cabbage (grated)
  • 50 grams cauliflower (grated)
  • 1 tea spoon red chilli powder
  • 1 tea spoon amchur powder
  • A small piece of ginger
  • 10 green chillies
  • 10 cloves garlic
  • table spoons coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • table spoons mint leave (finely chopped)
  • bread slices (remove crust and powder it)
  • 1 tea spoon garam masala
  • A few drops red edible colour
  • Small ice-cream sticks
  • Maida as required
  • Bread crumbs
  • Aluminum foil
  • Oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Mix potatoes, cabbage, cauliflower. Add salt , red chili powder and amchur to it.
  • Add ginger –chilli and garlic paste, chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves, powdered bread, garam masala, red edible colour.
  • Mix properly. The stuffing should be lollipop colour,
  • Shape like pattice. Place the ice-cream stick in centre.
  • Mix salt and water to the maida flour and make a thin paste. Dip the pattice in this paste. Roll it in bread crumbs and fry them.
  • While serving cover the ice – cream stick with aluminum foil. So that oil does not stick to the hand.

Further Details

If you don’t want to place the stick,fry only the cutlets or rolls.

Tooth picks can also be used. This can be served as starters at a feast.

Addition of garlic is optional.
