Vada Pav
If you have been in mumbai then vada pav may have become your main food. In mumbai vadapav is like a daily food. And now vada pav is fastfood recipe in all over india.
Ingredients
- 500 grams potatoes
- Oil accordingly
- ½ tea spoon mustard seeds
- 2 tea spoons urad dal
- A few curry leaves
- ¼ tea spoon turmeric powder
- 1 tea spoon sesame seeds
- 3 onions (finely chopped)
- 1 tea spoon ginger chilli paste
- 2 table spoons finely chopped coriander leaves
- 1 lime
- 2 tea spoons sugar
- A little sweet chutney
- A little green chutney
- Garlic chutney
- Nylon sev
- Ghee and butter
- 20 pieces paubhaji bread
- A little chana flour
- ½ tea spoon red chilli powder
- Salt to tasted
Instructions
- First you need to boil all pototos.After that grate and peel pototoes.Heat 2 table spoons oil in a vessel and add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, sesame seeds, turmeric powder and onions. Fry it until onions are light brown in colour.
- Add grated potatoes and the remaining masalas. Shape like vadas.
- Flatten a little, dip the vadas in chana flour batter and fry them in hot oil.
- Slit the bread from the centre, spread the sweet chutney, garlic chutney, coriander chutney, inside both the sides. Put the wada in the centre and close the bread.
- Heat a little ghee or oil on tava and shallow fry the pau-wada on both
- Sides. Decorate with sev and finely chopped coriander leaves.
