Sev Khamani
Ingredients
- 500 grams chana dal
- 200 to 250 grams oil
- ½ tea spoon mustard seeds
- 1 tea spoon sesame seeds
- 1 table spoon garlic paste
- 2 tea spoon chilli paste
- 1 table spoon sugar
- 1 lime
- 25 - grams fine sev
- ½ cup fresh grated coconut
- 1 pomegranate
- 1 table spoons finely chopped coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Soak chana dal in water for 6 hours. Steam it in the pressure cooker.
- Pass it through the sieve. Heat oil in a vessel. Add mustard seeds and sesame seeds for seasoning.
- Add garlic, dal, salt, green chilli paste and sugar to it.add a little water and lime juice.
- When it is roasted properly remove it from the flame. Fir serving, place it in the serving dish. Sprinkle sev on it.Decorate with grated coconut, pomegranate and chopped coriander leaves.
