Mung Dal Cone
Ingredients
- Rice flour
- Prepared roties as required
- Oil
- ½ cup mung dal
- 1 onion
- 1 capsicum
- 2 table spoons potatoes (boiled, peeled, mashed)
- 1 tea spoon ginger- chilli paste
- 2 table spoon coriander leaves (finel chopped)
- 1/2 tea spoon citric acid
- 1 tea spoons sugar
- 1 tea spoons garam masala
- 1 Pomegranate
- 1 table spoon desiccated coconut
- Sev
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Mix rice flour with a little water and boil it till it thickens like a paste. Remove it from the flame.
- Cut the rotis into 4 pieces. Take an aluminum foil cone and stick the roti on it. Seal it with the rice flour paste. Place the other pieces of roti’s on it. Prepare 7 tp 8 such cones and fry them.
- 1 big roti can also be rolled out and then it can be cut into 4 pieces. They can be used to cover the cone.
- Soak the mung dal in water for 3 hours. Grind it.
- Add finely chopped capsicum to it. Add all the other masalas also. Add the mung dal and potato.
- Fill the cone with mung dal masala at the base. Then put some pomegranate seeds, sev, desiccated coconut on top of it.

Variation
- Instead of mung dal, Potato (washed boiled and mushed add all masala). It can be used as the stuffing.
- Sev, rice puffs, fine sev , onions ,pomegranate seeds, bundi, potatoes (boil and cut to small pieces) can also be used for filling. Add the chutney over it.
- Seasoned rice, Potato poha, upama, pulse bhel etc. can also be used.
