Dhokali
Ingredients
- 250 grams batawada masala
- 250 grams wheat flour
- 2 cups tur dal
- ½ tea spoon turmeric powder (for dal)
- 4 table spoons oil
- 1 tea spoon red chilli powder
- ¼ tea spoon turmeric powder (to be added to the dough)
- 1 table spoon dhana- jeera powder
- 2 table spoon jaggery
- 2 tea spoons amchur powder
- 1 tea spoon garam masala
- 1/2 tea spoon mustard seeds
- 2 pieces cinnamon
- 6 cloves
- 2 sticks curry leaves
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Prepare batawada masala. Knead the dough of wheat flour, salt with a little oil and turmeric powder mixed with it. Divide the flour dough into a puri.
- Put the stuffing in the center of the puri and shape like ghughara.
- Prepare tuver dal, when the dal starts boiling, add these ghughara.
- Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, dhan-jeera powder, jaggery, amchur powder and garam masalas. Season with mustard seeds, cinnamon cloves and sweet curry leaves.
