Bhel
Ingredients
- 250 Grams rice puffs
- Oil
- ½ tea spoon mustard seeds
- 2 tea spoons red chilli powder
- 1 ½ tea spoons turmeric powder
- 150 grams wheat flour (200 grams puri)
- 1 pomegranate
- 4 table spoons finely chopped coriander leaves
- beetroot
- tomatoes (finely chopped)
- potatoes (boil, peeled and chopped)
- 4 onions (finely chopped)
- Dates chutney
- Garlic chutney
- Coriander chutney
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a big vessel, heat oil for seasoning rice puffs. Heat 2 table spoons oil and add mustard seeds, 1 tea spoon red chilli powder and ½ tea spoon turmeric powder. Add rice puffs.
- Add salt, 1 tea spoon red chilli powder, ½ tea spoon red chilli powder ½ tea spoon turmeric powder, a little oil to wheat flour. Knead the dough like that used for making puris ( a little hard). Divide the dough into small portions. Roll each portion into a thin puri. Prick with knife or fork dry them for some time.
- Add salt and ½ tea spoon turmeric powder to chana flour to make sev. Fry the puris. Instead of puri, Shakar para can also be made.
- Break the puris into big pieces. Mix all the ingredients in the required proportion. Sprinkle sev and chopped coriander leaves on top of it. Serve immediately.
