Saffron Ice cream
Ingredients
- 1 litre full cream milk
- 2 table spoon. cornflour
- 1 tsp. china grass
- 11 table spoon sugar
- 3 table spoon milk powder
- 1 tsp. saffron essence
- 1/2 cup cold milk
- 1 cup cream
- 1/4 tea spoon saffron
- 1/2 tea spoon cardamom powder
Instructions
- Boil the milk for 15 minutes on low flame, stirring occasionally.
- Add sugar to milk, stir. Dissolve the cornflour in a little cold milk.add it to the milk, stirring continuously, till boil resumes.
- Add 1/4 tea spoon saffron powder dissolved in milk and add it to the cream. Add 1/2 tea spoon cardamom powder.
- Boil for a further 4-5 minutes, take off fire.
- Add the china grass dissolved in a little cold milk.
- Cool to room temperature and add the cream to it. add the coloring and flavoring as required. churn the mixture in the mixer and pour it in the ice cream containers and freeze it till it set .
- When it is fully set, chrun again and set freeze again until it is firm.
- Use yellow coloure if saffron is not available.
